Scout Boats continues to push innovation forward with the introduction of two exciting new models for the 2027 model year: the 435 LXF Li-Ion and the 288 Dorado. Unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show, these boats represent two different directions for Scout’s lineup—one focused on cutting-edge technology and luxury performance, and the other on versatility for fishing and family boating.

For boaters in Hawaii, where offshore runs, reef fishing, diving, and cruising with family often happen on the same day, boats that combine performance, reliability, and comfort are especially valuable. These new Scout models reflect that balance.

435 LXF Li-Ion: A New Era of Power and Technology

The 435 LXF Li-Ion becomes the flagship of Scout’s S-Class lineup and introduces one of the most advanced electrical systems ever installed on a center console.

At the center of the design is the Fathom e-Power lithium battery system, which allows many onboard systems to operate without a traditional generator. Instead, the batteries are charged by the outboard engines while underway, providing quieter operation and improved efficiency.

The 435 LXF also incorporates several of Scout’s signature technologies, including:

  • Carbon Epoxy Construction for strength and reduced weight

  • Dual Scout Stepped Hull Technology designed to improve ride quality and efficiency

  • Seakeeper gyro stabilization for added comfort offshore

With more than 43 feet of length, a 13-foot beam, and up to 1,800 horsepower, the boat is built for serious offshore capability. For Hawaii boaters making longer runs along the Kona coast or exploring offshore fishing grounds, the combination of performance, stability, and onboard comfort can make a significant difference.

Luxury amenities such as an air-conditioned cabin, galley, and advanced Garmin electronics also make the 435 LXF well suited for extended days on the water.

288 Dorado: Versatility in a Perfect Size

Scout’s second major introduction for 2027 is the 288 Dorado, a dual-console model that builds on the success of the popular 277 Dorado.

At just under 29 feet in length, the 288 Dorado is designed to balance fishing capability with family comfort. The layout supports a wide range of activities—from offshore fishing and diving to cruising and relaxing at the sandbar.

Highlights include:

  • A spacious dual-console layout with comfortable seating throughout

  • A fiberglass hardtop for protection from the elements

  • A private head compartment for longer days on the water

  • Flexible seating and storage designed for both fishing and recreation

  • Power options up to 600 horsepower

With a 9’9” beam and 188-gallon fuel capacity, the 288 Dorado offers offshore capability while remaining manageable for everyday boating around Hawaii’s harbors and marinas.

For many boaters in the islands, a dual-console design like the Dorado provides the flexibility to fish in the morning, snorkel or dive in the afternoon, and cruise with family later in the day.

Innovation Built for the Water

The introduction of the 435 LXF Li-Ion and 288 Dorado highlights Scout Boats’ continued focus on innovation across its lineup. From advanced lithium-powered electrical systems to versatile dual-console designs, Scout continues to build boats that combine performance, luxury, and reliability.

For Hawaii boaters navigating the Pacific’s unique conditions—from offshore fishing grounds to protected bays—well-built, thoughtfully designed boats make all the difference.

For owners in the islands, vessels like the 435 LXF Li-Ion and 288 Dorado would also be eligible for Pacific Boats & Yachts’ Kai Koa Club, our premier vessel concierge and management program. Designed to simplify boat ownership in Hawaii, Kai Koa Club helps ensure your vessel is maintained, prepared, and ready whenever the next day on the water calls.
